Seriously...why won't he sleep?

Beanie is in another non-sleeping pattern and it is wiping us out. I cannot recall a night recently where he has slept through the night without flailing or wailing. Last night he woke up at 12:30 (I had gotten to bed at 11:00). Then he woke up again at 2:30 WIDE AWAKE. It is like he cannot get comfortable in his bed. I covered him up with his blanket both times and rubbed his back and told him (i.e. threatened him) that he needed to go back to sleep. I heard him again, WIDE AWAKE at 5:45 talking about "blue light!". He has been up ever since, as have I. Beanie wails so loudly that I know it also interferes with Liam's sleep. I don't know at what point I need to call in some sort of expert to either review his sleep patterns or at the very least give me some sort of sleep aid to take myself so at least one of us can sleep through the night.
