Today was a big day for Liam. It was "Limo to Lunch" day--a reward he won for selling at least 15 orders of frozen cookie dough for his school fundraiser. All of the kids who sold at least 15 units got to take a limo to McDonalds for lunch. THis was a HUGE deal for Liam--since he is in afternoon kidergarten he eats lunch at home everyday...so for him to get to go to school early and eat with friends was definitely the highlight of his day/week. Liam has also never been to McDonalds...(Ken & I are not big fast food fans) so when he found out he was going to "Old McDonald's" he was giddy. He woke up early and didn't want much breakfast--he wanted to make sure he "had enough room" for Old McDonalds...
It was also parent/teacher conference day with Mrs. Jessen. I have to admit I was a little nervous--after the preschool conference last Spring which left me in tears I was worried that we would get another less then glowing report. It turns out I had nothing to worry about. Mrs. Jessen had only great things to say about Liam--he is *VERY* enthusiastic and energetic, always happy, plays well with everyone, cares about other's feelings, listens and follows instruction (this is the one I worried about), and is very observant and creative. The only negatives were that he tends to talk A LOT. She said that while he talks a lot, he does listen. She said it is just that he is SO excited and enthusiastic about everything he can't wait to tell her more. She also surprised us by saying that he needs to stand his ground more--he is always willing to "be the nice guy" and let someone else play with the thing he wanted to play with or act out the character he wanted to act out. She said it is a nice quality, but that in the future it could be a problem (peer pressure, etc.). So overall-a good report. She said "he is a keeper!". I couldn't agree more. :-)
