Last night after the election results rolled in, I tried to calm down and come off cloud nine and let it all sink in. I went in to check on the boys, as I always do before I go to bed when suddenly, it hit me. I realized that my children will never know the historic significance of what happened last night. They will never know anything different that a black man is president. And I realized what a very good thing that is!!!. To them, they will grow up accepting that any PERSON, regardless of race or gender can be president and that alone gives me hope. I feel like I woke up to a new world today and the optimism that it is generating is palpable. You can feel it and see it just about everywhere you look. I know not everyone is a fan but since this is my blog, I get to say whatever I want so pardon me if you disagree! ;-)
There is so much work ahead. Let's work together to try and fix what has been broken the past 8 years.
Yeah Obama Family. Yeah America!
